67 - God of All Time, All Seasons of Our Living

Tune: Highwood

Isn't this the most beautiful melody!!  I first discovered it years ago in the old English Hymnal to the Advent text "Hark, what a sound, and too divine for hearing".  This hymn combines beautiful music with the strong text of one of my favorite hymn writers, Shirley Erena Murray.

Speaking of "Hark, what a sound", I've always loved the phrase "too divine for hearing".  I use it sometimes with my choir if they miss an entry, I'll tell them that perhaps it was simply "too divine for hearing" and my mortal ears couldn't perceive their celestial singing.
